The production process of Stainless Steel Fine Wire essentially involves “multi-pass cold drawing + final annealing + spooling& inspection,” ensuring ultra-fine diameters while maintaining high strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent surface quality.
Raw Material Preparation: Choose high-end stainless steel rods or wires (such as 304, 304L, 316, 316L). The material undergoes surface cleaning, including acid washing and descaling, to ensure a perfect completion without oxidation or impurities.
Multi pass cold drawing: After dozens or even hundreds of wire drawing processes, the steel wire gradually shrinks to a micro diameter level (0.025mm-0.08mm). Intermediate annealing may be required between stages to alleviate work hardening.
Final annealing/heat treatment: Microfilaments can provide annealed (soft) or unannealed (hard) conditions according to specific applications, ensuring an ideal balance between flexibility and tensile strength.
Spooling & Inspection: The finished microwire is spooled onto reels according to customer specifications, with precise control over weight and length. Each spool undergoes rigorous inspection for diameter tolerance, surface finish, and mechanical performance.
